The assailants reportedly opened fire on residents during the attack, killing another resident identified as Sulaiman Zunduma.
A resident, Hamza Isah Rantan, who confirmed the incident, said Buba was shot during the attack and later died in hospital where he had been taken for medical treatment.
Isah Rantan added that Zunduma died instantly after sustaining fatal gunshot injuries during the attack.
The latest incident has heightened concerns over the security situation in parts of Kano State, particularly following a series of abductions and attacks by armed men.
The attack occurred only hours after the rescue of the Sarkin Noman of Kano State, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa, who was abducted by gunmen in Chiromawa community, Garun Malam Local Government Area, last Saturday.
Five people were reportedly shot and injured during the abduction of the traditional title holder.
The latest killings have renewed calls for stronger security measures to protect residents and prevent further attacks by armed groups across communities in the state.
