As Always, Former Chief Of Staff, Imo State Government, Uche Nwosu Appoints Nigerian Police Officer, #RebrandNigeriaCampaign Ambassador, Gifts Him Cash As Appreciation.

The former Chief of Staff to the Imo State Governor and President of the Ugwumba Centre for Leadership Development in Africa, is at it again and this time, he took the challenge to shock a worthy Nigerian, whose character has not only put us in a good place in history, but has rubbed off well on the image of the country.

An officer with the Nigerian Police, by name, SP Daniel Itse Ameh, serving in Kano State, was said to have rejected the sum of “Two hundred thousand dollars” offered him as bride by armed robbers, consequently, Uche Nwosu has taken it upon himself and the centre, to honour a worthy Nigerian who has made the country proud.

According to him, through a post he made on his Social Media handles, he says, “There is a popular saying among Nigerians, which says… “if you can’t beat them, you join them.” This misconception can be said to be responsible for the level of degeneration in our society, especially among the youths, politicians and those in the public service. 

Despite the challenges faced by Nigerians in their quest for survival as a result of insecurity and the recent economic situation in the country, some people have stood out in their calls to serve the country. 

One of these great Nigerians is SP Daniel Itse Amah, the Police Officer serving at the Kano State Police Command, who rejected the sum of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) offered to him as bribe by armed robbers.

As the President of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa, I want to use this opportunity to commend the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman for celebrating the young man and to call upon other Police officers across the country to emulate him. 

Therefore, in line with our #RebrandNigeriaCampaign, which is our aggressive campaign aimed at showcasing the good people of Nigeria to the world, the Ugwumba Leadership Center shall honour SP Daniel Itse Amah as one of our Rebrand Nigeria Ambassadors as well as present him a cash gift of three hundred thousand naira (N300,000).
