Born in Edo State, South-South Nigeria in the 1980s, fahion designer and entrepreneur, Osereme Ebewele Brown's journey to where he is today, is, from inception, coming from those who knew him, is one marked by aspiration, zeal, resilience coupled with pride in the culture of his fatherland, haven made several stumblings, is today, making waves in the fashion scene beyond expectations of those who began with and before his emergance in Nigeria as over the last weekend, he launched the Lagos version of his exquisite fashion brand, Ebewele Brown, a luxury fashion and lifestyle house he founded in 2012
During the launch in Lagos, Osereme Brown told the media he named the brand after his father because to him, it was simply about accountability and not just legacy alone.
“I had to build something that would stand tall like the man it was named after” he says.
"Ebewele Brown" began operation in Lagos and Abuja, the brand which now operates from a flagship showroom in Abuja, but now has branches in Lagos and Conakry, Guinea. In 2023, Brown launched the Abuja Garment Factory, a 500-square-meter production facility employing over 50 professionals and helping boost local fashion manufacturing capacity.
He says the standalone factory caters to the needs of Ebewele Brown brands & also other brands not related to or affiliated to the Ebewele Brown.
The Ebewele Brown brand & the Abuja Garment Factory both employ about 100 highly professional staff members, thereby opening up for local and international collaborations with a clientele base that spans across celebrities, political figures, and cultural icons, Ebewele Brown has earned acclaim for its meticulous craftsmanship, Afrocentric sophistication, and storytelling through fashion with bespoke couture, ready-to-wear pieces, and accessories that fuse tradition with modernity
As would be showcased herewith through pictures, "Ebewele Brown" remains committed to mentoring emerging talents and inspiring young creatives. through his story of transformation and purpose-driven leadership through fashion, proving that homegrown luxury, rooted in identity and excellence, can resonate globally.
As expected, there was a fashion runway by a few celebrities, which included Nollywood stars who wore the ready to wear outfits made by "Ebewele Brown". boldly positioning itself as the future of Nigeria's global fashion brand with exquisite luxury.
