He is followed by Côte d’Ivoire’s great Laurent Pokou, who recorded 14 goals, while Nigeria’s iconic striker Rashidi Yekini occupies third place with 13 goals to his name.
Egyptian forward Hassan El-Shazly sits fourth after scoring 12 goals at the tournament. Meanwhile, a group of African football greats share fifth place, each having scored 11 goals in AFCON history.
