At the top of the list is Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o, who holds the record as the highest goal scorer in AFCON history with 18 goals, a feat that reflects his dominance on the continental stage.

He is followed by Côte d’Ivoire’s great Laurent Pokou, who recorded 14 goals, while Nigeria’s iconic striker Rashidi Yekini occupies third place with 13 goals to his name.

Egyptian forward Hassan El-Shazly sits fourth after scoring 12 goals at the tournament. Meanwhile, a group of African football greats share fifth place, each having scored 11 goals in AFCON history.
