Nollywood veteran actor and producer, Bimbo Akintola has come out to state some of the reasons she is still not married till today.
According
to one of the finest role interpreters in Nollywood, “I have been proposed to
many times, but people think the reason I am not married is that nobody had asked.
That is not true. I said no because I knew deep inside that I could not do
forever with those people.
Dating
someone and marrying them are not the same thing. There are things you can
manage as a girlfriend that you cannot survive as a wife.
When a man
starts talking about the future, I look at him with clear eyes. Is this the
person I want to father my children? Is he kind? How does he treat his mother
and other women? How does he behave around children? Those small details show
you the pattern of his heart.
I tell
young girls these days not to look for romance alone, look for character. That
is what you will live with every day.
