The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that February 8, 2026, is the last day for pilgrims to submit their information and form groups on the Nusuk Masar platform.
This step is required for the processing of Hajj visas. Visa issuance will continue until March 20, 2026, as planned.
The ministry shared this information during a virtual meeting with representatives from countries participating in Hajj.
Officials explained that pilgrims’ registration and group formation must be fully completed on the Nusuk Masar platform to allow visa processing.
The registration process includes several steps. Countries must ensure all pilgrims are correctly categorized under the Hajj rites of Ifrad, Tumattu’I, and Qiran.
Those choosing the Tumattu’I and Qiran rites must also complete the payment for sacrificial animals through the platform unless they opt to fast instead of offering the sacrifice.
Medical arrangements are another requirement.
Pilgrims must have a signed contract with an accredited medical service provider based in Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, backup accommodation in Makkah must be reserved for at least 1% of a country’s pilgrims to meet emergency needs. For example, if a country has 40,000 pilgrims, extra lodging must be booked for 400 people.
The ministry warned that pilgrims or officials who fail to have their passports captured on the Nusuk Masar system by the February 8 deadline may not be able to attend Hajj in 2026.
Officials also discussed air travel arrangements. The Bilateral Air Service Agreement, which determines how seats are shared between countries, will follow a 40/60 formula for Hajj 2026, with a 50/50 split planned for 2027.
Efforts to improve the Umrah visa process and reduce violations and overstays were also reviewed.
Tour operators were reminded to ensure that pilgrims complete their Hajj journey and return within the visa validity period.
The ministry’s clear instructions aim to ensure all preparations, including registration, payments, medical arrangements, and accommodation, are completed in time for a smooth Hajj season.
