Full List: FG Secures Agréments For Ambassador-Designates From 10 Countries.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an update on the ongoing process of securing acceptance, also known as agréments, for the newly appointed Ambassadors-designate.

This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Kimibie Ebienfa.

The process is progressing steadily, with agreements already received from ten countries.

They include: United Kingdom, France, United States of America, Ireland, Qatar, Republic of Benin, Ethiopia and Djibouti, Senegal, as well as Sierra Leone.

“I wish to inform you that the process of receiving agréments from the countries the ambassadors-designate are posted to is ongoing. We have received agreements from the United Kingdom, France, United States of America, Ireland, Qatar, Benin Republic, Ethiopia/Djibouti, Senegal, Sierra Leone, among others,” he said.

Other responses are still being awaited.

Ebienfa disclosed that the date for the Induction Ceremony will be announced in due course, as soon as it is finalised and confirmed by the Presidency.

The latest confirmation by the Ministry indicates that the process is gradually nearing completion, with approvals already secured from major global partners and regional allies.

With more approvals expected in the coming weeks, attention is now on the Presidency to conclude the process and formally dispatch the envoys to their respective countries.
