Ghana Sacks Coach Otto Addo Weeks Before World Cup.

Ghana has dismissed coach Otto Addo just over 10 weeks before the World Cup in North America.

The decision came following a 2-1 loss to Germany in a friendly match on Monday in Stuttgart, where Ghana conceded a late goal.

This defeat marked the fourth consecutive loss for Addo’s team, following a heavy 5-1 defeat to Austria the previous week.

Addo, who took charge of the Black Stars in March 2024, had led the team for over two years.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) thanked Addo for his service and said it would announce the team’s new leadership in due time.

Ghana is set to face England, Croatia, and Panama in the group stage of the World Cup.

The move comes as the national team seeks to regroup and prepare for the tournament less than three months away.
