Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked outrage after calling on Nigerians, particularly Yoruba voters, to support President Bola Tinubu.
In a video that quickly went viral, Portable warned that unrest could follow if Tinubu does not receive enough votes in the upcoming presidential election.
He also revealed his alignment with the ruling All Progressives Congress and promised to distribute food items like rice and vegetable oil to supporters.
He said: "We need peace, we want peace. If you don’t want war in Nigeria, you better vote for Tinubu. Na thunder and ogun go kill any Yoruba man that doesn’t vote for Tinubu. I've been signed. They’ve given me APC cloth, don’t worry, very soon I’ll share rice and vegetable oil for you all."
The video has since gone viral, attracting mixed reactions from the public. While some supporters agreed with his stance, others criticized his comments, describing them as reckless and capable of causing tension.
