JAMB Issues Directive To Candidates.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened the portal for candidates to print their slips for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board made the announcement on Monday, 23 March, ahead of the mock exam set for Saturday, 28 March.

The mock UTME is designed to allow candidates to practice using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system and get ready for the main examination.

Candidates can access their slips on the JAMB website by selecting the ‘2-Session 2026 MOCK SLIP PRINTING’ option and entering their registration numbers. They are also advised to locate their examination centres in advance.

This year, the mock UTME will last four hours, a change from the usual two-hour schedule.

The sessions will run consecutively, with the first from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the second from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The extended duration aims to give candidates enough time to familiarize themselves with the test system.

Participation in the mock UTME is compulsory for all registered candidates. JAMB warned that candidates who skip the mock exam waste slots that could be used by others.

The board urged all candidates to make arrangements to attend and complete both sessions.

The mock examination serves as a practice run for candidates, ensuring they are comfortable with the format and environment of the UTME before the main exam.
