Nollywood actor Kolawole Ajeyemi has shown support for his wife, Toyin Abraham, after she was snubbed by fellow actress Funke Akindele during a movie premiere.
Video footage from the premiere showed Toyin approaching Funke to greet her, but Funke looked away and did not respond.
Toyin then moved on to greet Iyabo Ojo and other attendees before leaving.
Following the incident, Ajeyemi shared a message on Instagram expressing his love and appreciation for her.
He wrote: “Oluwatoyin Abraham aya mi 🤍 I love you @toyin_abraham thank you for always listening to me 👂 I know you want to talk but hmmmmmmm💔💔 Afi suru 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ Thanks everyone God bless you all we love you.”
Toyin responded to her husband with affection, affirming her commitment and love.
“Oshey Oko mi and I will always listen and obey you my small god. I love you forever 😍😍”, she wrote.
The exact cause of the tension between the actresses has not been officially confirmed, though reports of past disagreements have circulated for several years.
In 2024, Toyin spoke about how rumours contributed to rivalry between them, creating unhealthy competition.
After the premiere, both Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele unfollowed each other on Instagram.
