The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Bako Lalong, has extended warm congratulations to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the occasion of his 74th birthday.
Senator Lalong described President Tinubu as a
visionary leader, seasoned democrat, and a patriot whose lifelong commitment to
the unity, stability, and progress of Nigeria continues to inspire hope among
citizens.
Lalong, who had the privilege of serving as the
Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Organisation,
recalled the President’s resilience, courage, and strategic leadership
throughout the campaign period, which ultimately led to victory at the polls.
He noted that these qualities have remained evident in the President’s approach
to governance.
The former Governor of Plateau State also acknowledged
his own experience serving under the Tinubu administration as Minister of
Labour and Employment, stating that the President has consistently demonstrated
a deep understanding of governance and a strong determination to implement
policies that will reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and development.
According to him, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope
Agenda is gradually setting the nation on the path of economic recovery,
institutional reforms, and national cohesion, despite prevailing challenges.
Senator Lalong further praised the President’s
inclusive leadership style, which he said encourages participation, dialogue,
and collaboration across all sectors of society.
“As you mark your 74th birthday, I join millions of
Nigerians in celebrating your remarkable life of service, sacrifice, and
dedication to nation-building. I pray that God grants you good health, wisdom,
and strength to continue to steer the affairs of our great nation to greater
heights,” Lalong said.
He reaffirmed his loyalty and continued support for
the Tinubu administration, pledging to work with other stakeholders in the
National Assembly to advance policies and legislation that will enhance good
governance and improve the welfare of Nigerians.
