Nollywood actress Remi Surutu has openly declared her support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging Nigerians not to allow intimidation or criticism influence their political choices.

Speaking during a recent engagement, the actress said she remains unafraid despite years of backlash she claims to have faced online for her political stance. According to her, she has consistently campaigned and endured insults from critics, yet remains firm in her decision to support the president.

Surutu challenged those dissatisfied with Tinubu’s performance, saying, “If you think he has not done well, suggest a man in your family and let him govern for just one day.” She argued that leadership comes with complexities many people may not fully understand until they experience it firsthand.

Encouraging citizens to exercise their democratic rights freely, she added, “Your vote is your right. Don’t let anybody deceive you or scare you.” The actress emphasized that she would continue to campaign openly for the president, stressing that Tinubu already has her vote.

She further maintained that Nigeria could have faced a more serious crisis without the current administration’s interventions, noting that many of the government’s efforts are not fully visible to the public.

Reaffirming her stance, Surutu said she is determined to stand by her convictions regardless of criticism or threats, insisting she will continue to support the president publicly.
