'Tinubu Planning To Relocate Nigeria's Capital From Lagos'.

Former APC official Timi Frank has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu intends to relocate Nigeria’s capital from Abuja to Lagos if he wins a second term in 2027.

Frank made the allegation in a statement released on Monday, expressing concerns over what he calls a “Lagos-focused” approach by the current administration.

Frank argued that decisions made by Tinubu’s government appear to favour Lagos at the expense of other regions.

He suggested that federal appointments, development projects, and economic initiatives are mostly benefiting Lagos, leaving other parts of the country behind.

He also criticized the government for what he perceives as a lack of support for key sectors in other regions, including agriculture and livestock in the North, industrial growth in the Southeast, and oil and gas development in the South-South.

Frank warned that such actions create feelings of exclusion and could weaken national unity.

The former APC chieftain further said that the current government has divided the country along regional and ethnic lines, creating tensions that could affect the political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.

He suggested that these strategies might be designed to economically disadvantage certain regions and consolidate influence in Lagos.
