“News PlatformNG” reports the death of veteran actor, Reverend Davis Offor, widely known as Clarus from the iconic 1980s sitcom The New Masquerade at the age of 85.
Confirming the death to “News PlatformNG”
this morning through a telephone conversation, another veteran actor and one
who was instrumental in bringing him back to limelight in resent times, Tony
Akposeri told us he died yesterday, Easter Sunday.
Chief Clarus “News PlatformNG” learned
had prostrate cancer and was being treated even as the Governor Alex Otti of
Abia State was getting set to celebrate his 85th birthday this very
month of April but death came early.
Celebrated for his comedic talent, he played a witty
houseboy role, contributing to the show's massive popularity during its run on
NTA.
