A two-storey building under construction has fallen in Jikwoyi, a community on the outskirts of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The collapse reportedly trapped several construction workers, though the exact number is not yet confirmed.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, according to people who were nearby. Teams from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have arrived at the scene to assist with rescue efforts and manage the situation.
Authorities are working to ensure the safety of anyone caught in the debris while investigating the cause of the collapse.
Residents around the area were reportedly shocked by the sudden fall of the building and have gathered to observe the rescue operations.
