According to the statement made available to “News PlatformNG”, the family says “It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we, the Ofor family, announce the passing of our beloved Father, grandfather, and elder, Sir Davis Akaliro Ofor, who departed this life on April 5th”.
According to them, Sir Davis Akaliro Ofor, aka Clarus, was popularly known and admired for his role in the iconic Nigerian television series “The New Masquerade”, which aired on the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA Network) in the 80’s and 90’s. He didn’t just act; he became a part of the Nigerian fabric.
Every Clarus joke and every episode on NTA was a gi he gave to us all. Through his talent and passion for entertainment, he brought joy, laughter, and cultural expression into many homes across Nigeria. He was a punctual and devoted family man and a respected member of his community whose life and legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.
The family
appreciates the prayers, love, and condolences received from loved ones and
friends, promising that detailed information regarding his funeral arrangements
will be announced in due time.
