How I Was Billed ₦50,000 At Pharmacy For Medication That Costs ₦2,000 After I Became Famous - Singer Qing Madi Reveals.

Nigerian singer Qing Madi recently shared a memorable and embarrassing experience  from her early days of fame on the Tea With Tay podcast, revealing how a simple errand became a public spectacle and how her father stepped in to set things straight.

When asked by the interviewer if she still runs errands, Qing Madi explained:

“Sometimes Before, because my parents didn’t know how much I had blown at the time. Not until one day I was in the car with my parents and they asked me to get down in front of the pharmacy to get medicine …Now mind you, my father is there. I’m not going to say no,” she said, emphasizing her sense of obligation.

Once inside, the pharmacy staff immediately recognized Qing, snapping photos and taking videos with her. Things quickly took a bizarre turn when she was told the medicine would cost ₦50,000. “I hadn’t bought medicine in my life, so I just bought it,” Qing said.

However, her father, suspicious of the price, asked to see the receipt. Upon checking, he realized the medicine was actually only ₦2,000. Both Qing and her father returned to the pharmacy, where the staff apologized for attempting to overcharge her.

Qing admitted she felt extremely embarrassed as her father scolded the staff in front of everyone. “I couldn’t even look the receptionist in the eye again,” she laughed, recalling the ordeal.
