A man has been arrested in Akwa Ibom State for allegedly attacking his tenant after she rejected his advances.
The suspect, identified as Akong Henry, reportedly injured the woman, Rachael, during a confrontation in Abak Local Government Area.
The incident occurred on March 31, 2026, around 6:45 p.m., when Rachael went to the police station to report the attack.
According to the police, the suspect used a sharp object against the 31-year-old woman, causing injuries to her head and left arm and leading to heavy bleeding.
She was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police officers responded quickly after the report, ensured the victim received medical care, and took the suspect into custody.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has launched a full investigation into the case.
The police also warned the public against using violence to settle disputes and urged people to seek help from authorities when conflicts arise.
