Mrs. Arobieke became the first Executive Secretary of Agboyi-Ketu LocaL Council Development Area, LCDA, upon creation by the Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu between October 2003 through to February 2004.

In March 2004 to July 2008, she became the first Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LocaL Council Development Area, LCDA.

Due to her outstanding performance as Chairman, she was elected again in October of 2008 as the second Executive Chairman of the same LCDA, and she stayed till October 2011.

In August 2019, Mrs. Arobieke was appointed Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, a position she was only reassigned from to the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in January 2020.

Rev. Dr. Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke has been actively involved in politics since 1992, serving as a founding member of Alliance for Democracy, AD, Assistant Secretary. Conference of 57 Chairmen of Local Governments in Lagos; Chairman of Committee of Women Gender Issues under the office of Lagos APC, Secretary of APC in Adamawa State Governorship Nomination Screening, Appeal Committee in 2014, member of APC Apex Leader, Lagos East Senatorial District; Deputy Director, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organiaion for Governor in 2019, member of the 2023 presidential and gubernatorial campaign committee; member of the apex leader of Lagos East senatorial district from 2014 till date, member of the APC mobilization committee for the general election in 2015, Director, Term Pepper Mobilization Committee for Senate,

Mrs. Arobieke has a Ph.D. in Theology, an M.Sc. in Theology from the “The Word Bible College & Theological Seminary” (WOBICOTS), a master’s in public administration (MPA) from the Lagos State University (LASU), and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the prestigious University of Ibadan (UI).

A grassroot politician and mobilizer, one who understands how to reach the people at the grassroots, having been LCDA Chairman, served first as commissioner for local government and community affairs, Rev.
