Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has encouraged Nigerians to view the difficulties they encounter as temporary challenges that can ultimately lead to positive outcomes.
In a goodwill message to Christians celebrating Easter, Governor Fintiri highlighted the significance of the season as a time to reflect on the suffering and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, which symbolizes that all suffering eventually comes to an end.
He stated:
“As we enter into this Easter Season, let’s remember that it is a season for sacrificing ourselves, the same season that Jesus was sacrificed for the sake of our sins and peace. He died for our healing and not for destruction.”
Fintiri, through his Chief Press Secretary Humwashi Wonosikou, prayed that citizens continue to foster unity and oneness, saying:
“so that we build Adamawa to become a respected state that the people are proud of.”
The governor also urged Christians to demonstrate love by helping the needy this Easter, following the example of Jesus Christ at the cross. He emphasized the importance of translating faith into tangible actions, showing that religious beliefs should reflect in how people live and collaborate.
Concluding his message, Governor Fintiri wished all Christians a joyful celebration, praying:
“May this Easter bring you blessings, peace and joy.”
