The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, has extended warm felicitations to the Long Kwo of Kwo Chiefdom, Quaan-Pan Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Yahaya Kwande, on the occasion of his birthday.
Senator Lalong describes the revered traditional ruler
as a distinguished elder statesman, accomplished diplomat, and custodian of
culture who has continued to contribute immensely to the peace, unity, and
development of Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
He commended HRH Amb. Yahaya Kwande for his decades of
selfless service to the nation, both in public office and in traditional
leadership.
The Senator noted that Kwo Chiefdom is a critical part
of his constituency, and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the
Long Kwo to advance development, peace, and unity within the Chiefdom and
across Plateau South Senatorial District.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration between
political and traditional leadership in addressing the needs of the people and
fostering sustainable progress.
Senator Lalong particularly acknowledged the Long
Kwo’s role in promoting harmony among diverse communities, as well as his wise
counsel on issues of governance, security, and national cohesion.
He noted that the royal father remains a beacon of
integrity, humility, and patriotism whose life continues to inspire younger
generations.
While wishing him many more years in good health,
wisdom, and strength, Senator Lalong prayed that God grants HRH Amb. Yahaya
Kwande continued grace to lead his people with peace and prosperity.
