The senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Gbenga Daniel was over the weekend prevented from entering the Ijebu-East caucus meeting by the executive chairman of Odogbolu Local Government Area, Babatunde Diya, who made sure he did not gain entrance in the meeting.
It was the Senatorial District Stakeholders' Forum meeting, but the chairman of Odogbolu LGA made sure he never entered the meeting by using his thugs stationed at the gate to prevent him from gaining entry.
There is more to what is going on as political watchers are asking what temerity an ordinary local government chairman have to lock not only a current senator but also a former governor of the same state out of his party's stakeholders meeting in the state.
