Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has cautioned financially struggling men against getting women pregnant, citing Nigeria’s rising cost of living.
In a video shared on Instagram, Agu pointed to the increasing prices of essentials like diapers, school fees, fuel, and basic commodities, stressing that many men are taking on responsibilities they are not prepared for.
He warned that ignoring financial readiness could lead to serious hardship, saying such men may end up suffering more than the child.
“Pampers prices are increasing, school fees are rising, fuel prices are increasing, and even the cost of commodities keeps going up, yet you have nothing, and you’re still getting a woman pregnant, you’ll definitely cry more than that baby.
You no guild you no get shiii shiii, and you dey release inside a woman, continue enjoyment wan finish you, but you will cry more than the baby when the time to chest the billing comes”, he said.
