Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Mrs. Adenike Ayobami Fasina as the new Head of the State Civil and Public Service.
She takes over from Mrs. Olubunmi Olufunke Oni, who has retired from service after completing her tenure.
The announcement was contained in a statement released by the state government on Friday. Fasina is from Eruwa and began her career in the Oyo State civil service in 2000. Over the years, she moved through different roles and later became a permanent secretary in the Ministry of Finance.
She is also a member of the National Institute and has received the Oyo State Merit and Productivity Award twice in recognition of her work in public service.
In addition to the appointment of Fasina, the governor also approved 20 new executive secretaries and general managers for various agencies in the state civil service.
The government said these appointments are part of ongoing steps to improve how the public service operates and to support better delivery of government duties across Oyo State.
