US President Donald Trump has been declared in good health after a routine medical examination, though his doctor advised him to reduce weight and improve lifestyle habits.
The check-up was carried out at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington. The medical report, released after the visit, said the president is in strong condition overall, with normal heart, lung, and brain function.
The report added that he is fit to continue carrying out his duties as president without any medical limits. It also noted that he received health advice during the visit, including changes to diet, more physical activity, continued weight control, and the use of a low dose aspirin for heart protection.
The doctor explained that Trump is currently on three medications. Two are for cholesterol management, while the third is aspirin used to help reduce the risk of heart problems.
The medical memo also recorded changes in his weight. At 6 feet 3 inches tall, his weight was listed at 238 pounds, which is higher than the 224 pounds recorded during his last full annual check in the previous year.
Doctors also looked at bruising on his hands and linked it to minor tissue irritation. They said it may be related to frequent handshakes combined with aspirin use.
This examination is the third medical test Trump has undergone since returning to office. It comes after public discussions about his health, including observations about tiredness during meetings and visible marks on his hands.
The White House doctor concluded that he remains fully capable of handling his responsibilities as president.
