Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has offered a sharp commentary on the different categories of people who support the administration of Bola Tinubu, outlining what she described as three distinct groups based on their motivations.
In a recent public statement, Jegede said the first group consists of supporters who are aware of the administration’s perceived shortcomings but continue their loyalty due to personal interests, political alignment, or established connections.
She further described a second category as optimistic supporters who believe that Nigeria’s economic and social conditions will improve, particularly in the event of a second term for the current administration. According to her, these individuals remain hopeful despite present challenges.
However, the actress was more critical of the third group, which she characterized in strongly worded terms as “delusional,” suggesting they are unwavering in their support despite opposing views and criticism of government performance.
Beyond her commentary on political loyalty, Jegede also raised concerns about national security policy. She questioned the federal government’s ongoing rehabilitation and reintegration initiatives for individuals identified as repentant terrorists, describing the approach as difficult to understand and posing a rhetorical challenge to her audience.
