The Soun of Ogbomoso has reacted to the protest in Oyo State over the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area.
In a video shared online, Soun of Ogbomoso spoke about the growing demand for urgent military action to rescue the victims.
He noted that although there is pressure on security agencies to act quickly, a forceful military raid on the kidnappers’ hideout could put the abducted persons at risk.
He explained that such an operation might lead to unintended deaths if care is not taken during the rescue process.
The monarch called for patience and careful planning in handling the situation, stressing that the safety of the kidnapped pupils and teachers should remain the top priority as efforts continue to secure their release.
