Emotional Tribute As Late Actor Alexx Ekubo Is Laid To Rest In Abia State.

 

The final burial ceremony of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has begun in Arochukwu, Abia State, drawing emotional reactions from family, friends, and colleagues as tributes continue to pour in.

Among those who paid tribute was the wife of popular fashion designer Yomi Casual, who shared a deeply personal reflection on her Instagram Story, highlighting the close friendship between her husband and the late actor.

She recalled how Alexx Ekubo would regularly visit Yomi Casual for clothing fittings whenever his outfits were ready, describing a bond that went beyond professional ties and grew into a close friendship over the years.

In her post, she revealed a painful detail from the days leading up to the actor’s passing. According to her, Yomi Casual had informed Alexx that a suit was ready, but received no response afterward.

She went on to share that, in an emotional gesture, her husband eventually took the completed suit to the funeral home so that his late friend could be dressed in it for his final journey.

“I went to the funeral home to give my friend his final well-tailored suit,” she wrote, capturing the grief and intimacy of the moment.

She also commended her husband for the strength he showed in personally ensuring that Alexx Ekubo looked his best one last time, despite the emotional toll of the loss.

According to her, the past month—and especially the past week—had been one of the most difficult periods for Yomi Casual, adding that Alexx would have appreciated the care and effort put into honouring him.
