FG Panel Says Bobrisky Enjoyed Special Privileges During Prison Stay, Recommends Further Investigation.

An investigative panel established by the Federal Government has reportedly found that popular crossdresser Bobrisky, whose real name is Okuneye Olanrewaju, enjoyed several special privileges during his six-month incarceration, including access to mobile phones and accommodation in specially furnished prison cells.

According to a report by Punch, the panel's findings indicate that while serving his sentence at the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Kirikiri, Lagos, Bobrisky was housed in a private cell equipped with amenities including a personal toilet and bathroom, a television, refrigerator, carpet, humidifier, and other comforts not typically available to inmates.

The report further alleged that he was permitted unrestricted access to visitors and was allowed to receive family members, who could also bring him meals during his incarceration.

The panel stated that after being transferred to the Maximum Security Custodial Centre, Bobrisky was accommodated in another specially equipped cell featuring wallpaper, a large bed, carpet, television, and a humidifier. It also claimed that another inmate was assigned to attend to his personal needs.

Among the panel’s notable observations was the discovery of a soundproofed door attached to Bobrisky’s cell, a feature it described as unique compared to other cells within the facility.

Investigators also expressed the belief that Bobrisky had access to mobile phones while in custody, despite regulations prohibiting inmates from possessing or using such devices.

The investigation was initiated after social media activist VeryDarkMan released an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have paid officials in exchange for preferential treatment during his imprisonment.

Following its findings, the panel recommended that authorities carry out further investigations into the allegations surrounding Bobrisky’s incarceration.

It also advised that VeryDarkMan be investigated over alleged violations of data privacy laws and the dissemination of what it described as unverified claims.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from Bobrisky regarding the panel’s findings or recommendations.
