The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged the Federal Government to give security chiefs a 90-day ultimatum to end terrorism in Nigeria or vacate their positions.
Speaking in a video shared on his official X account, Adeboye expressed concern over the persistent security challenges facing the country and called for urgent, decisive action.
“If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, ‘Move fast and tell our security chiefs, get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign,’” he stated.
The cleric further urged the government to go after those financing and aiding terrorist groups, insisting that security efforts should not stop at eliminating the gunmen alone.
“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the t+rrorists; they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be,” Adeboye added.
His remarks come amid renewed concerns over insecurity in parts of the country, including recent cases of schoolchildren and teachers being abd¥cted by armed groups.
