Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, has denied reports claiming that a court ordered his arrest over allegations of certificate forgery.
In a statement issued on Monday through his spokesperson, Robert Ngwu, Nnaji described the reports as false and misleading. He said the claims were part of efforts aimed at damaging his image and misleading the public.
The former minister maintained that he is not under investigation by any law enforcement agency and has not gone into hiding. According to him, he has continued to live openly at his residences in Abuja and Enugu, locations that are well known to relevant authorities.
Nnaji also stated that neither he nor his legal team has received any invitation, warrant, summons, or official communication from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission regarding the allegations.
The statement further noted that his legal team, headed by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), has not been contacted by the anti-corruption agency on the matter.
According to the former minister, the issue surrounding his academic records is already before the Federal High Court. He said the suit was filed by him to seek clarification on matters relating to his educational documents, including the release of his academic transcript.
The statement added that the case, identified as Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1909/2025, is still pending before the court and has not yet been decided.

Nnaji insisted that reports suggesting a court had directed his arrest were inaccurate and should be disregarded. He maintained that there is currently no court order for his arrest and no active investigation against him in connection with the allegations.
