The identities of the remaining victims are still being confirmed. One soldier attached to the military vehicle also died in the accident.
Police officers and emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, recovering the bodies and transporting them to the Specialist Hospital in Yola. Authorities are continuing efforts to identify the unidentified victims and inform their families.
In a statement, Nguroje conveyed condolences from the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa to the families of the deceased, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the NYSC, and all affected by the tragedy.
This incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers on Nigeria’s roads and the urgent need for heightened road safety measures.
