Bellingham Brace Sends England Into World Cup Semi-Finals.

Jude Bellingham scored twice, including a dramatic extra-time winner, as England came from behind to beat Norway 2-1 on Saturday and secure a place in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals.

Bellingham struck the decisive goal in the 93rd minute after Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland spilled a long-range effort from substitute Morgan Rogers, allowing the England midfielder to fire home the rebound at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.

England will face either Argentina in Wednesday's semi-final, but manager Thomas Tuchel admitted his side had been fortunate to progress after an unconvincing display.

"We made life very, very difficult for ourselves today," Tuchel said. "The result is fantastic. The last four is amazing, but I'm not happy with the performance. We were very lucky today."

Norway took the lead in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup unleashed a powerful strike beyond the England goalkeeper.

England drew level in first-half stoppage time through Bellingham after a controversial incident in which Nyland's goal-kick struck an overhead television camera cable before the attack developed. Under the Laws of the Game, the ball should have been declared out of play and the goal-kick retaken.

Norway thought they had restored their advantage in the 55th minute when Torbjorn Heggem found the net, but the goal was ruled out following a VAR review after Erling Haaland was adjudged to have fouled Elliot Anderson in the build-up.

Playing in sweltering conditions, with the heat index reaching 42°C, England appeared to tire as the match wore on. However, they found the winner in extra time when Nyland failed to hold Rogers' shot from distance and Bellingham reacted quickest to convert the rebound.

The quarter-final had been billed as a contest between England captain Harry Kane and Norway striker Erling Haaland, but neither forward made a decisive impact. Haaland was substituted in extra time as Norway searched unsuccessfully for an equaliser.

Norway had also squandered a golden opportunity shortly before half-time when Alexander Sorloth opted to shoot rather than square the ball to an unmarked Haaland, allowing England to escape.

England's victory sets up the prospect of a World Cup semi-final against long-time rivals Argentina, provided the South Americans progress from their quarter-final
