PSC Releases Names Of 50,000 Police Recruits.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has published the names of applicants who were successful in the recruitment exercise for 50,000 police constables into the Nigeria Police Force.

The commission announced the release of the list on Wednesday after completing the nationwide recruitment process carried out in partnership with relevant government agencies and stakeholders.

The exercise involved the collaboration of the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Character Commission, Ministry of Police Affairs, state career and counselling departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.

The PSC said candidates who took part in the recently concluded written examination can now visit the official recruitment portal to confirm their status.

The recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, will become available for candidates to check their results from midnight on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Successful applicants will also receive updates through the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during registration.

Those selected for the next stage of the process will be required to report to their assigned police training institutions on dates that will be announced later. They will undergo medical checks and documentation before beginning their training.

The commission warned that candidates who fail to appear at their assigned training centres within the given period would be regarded as having rejected the offer.

Applicants who do not meet the medical requirements during the screening process will also be removed from the training programme.

The PSC advised successful candidates to come along with their training call-up slips, National Identification Number slips, Bank Verification Number slips, original certificates and photocopies of required documents, alongside other items listed on the recruitment portal.

The Chairman of the commission, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Argungu, expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for approving the recruitment of the new police constables.

Argungu said the recruitment would help improve the country’s security system and called on the successful candidates to remain dedicated, disciplined and committed to their duties as they begin their journey in the police force.
