A young man named Ogbeni Goggo has killed himself out of frustration over his inability to repay the N1.8m loan he collected to add to his business and could not explain how the money vanished.
According to information available to “News PlatformNG”, he killed himself at on Wednesday, the 26th of August at the popular Ebrumede/DSC roundabout in Edo State by drinking snipper.
Information has it that Ogbeni was married for 3 years bu had no child with his wife.
“News PlatformNG” learnt that when he didn't return home the night of Wednesday, the wife became worried as that wasn’t in the character of her 40-year-old husband.
Meanwhile, on the midnight of the same Wednesday the 26th, Ogbeni forwarded messages to few friends and family members that he was tired of life and wanted to end it all. They made efforts calling his phone but no one picked, same night he didn't return home which got his wife worried.
All through the following day, Thursday, the 27th, efforts were made by the wife and family searching for him but to no avail.
The wife went to the police station Thursday morning to report that her husband was missing only for the police in Ebrumede, Uvwie LGA to bring out a picture if it was the husband. She confirmed it seeing a picture of her husband's lifeless body along with snipper on the floor taken at Ebrumede flyover roundabout at the middle of the night before police evacuated the corpse to Agbaro mørtûąry.
Few persons who saw him took
the substance raised alarm when he fell down to the ground jerking. They
brought oil and tried to help out that mid night but it was late while the
Nigeria Police Force arrived the scene. The wife collapsed immediately.
