The public feud between reality television stars and beauty entrepreneurs Adeola “Diiadem” Adeyemi and Dabota Lawson has escalated, with Lawson responding to allegations made by her former friend.
Diiadem had earlier accused Lawson of allegedly orchestrating a smear campaign against her and claimed that a reported N5 million birthday gift from Lawson was returned shortly after it was sent.
Responding in a lengthy post on Instagram, Lawson denied the allegations and claimed that the disagreement between them was fuelled by professional envy.
According to Lawson, Diiadem’s attitude towards her changed after she successfully secured a business grant for which both women had applied.
The dispute subsequently took a more personal turn as Lawson addressed Diiadem’s questions about her loyalty as a friend by making allegations about the content creator’s past.
Lawson claimed she supported Diiadem during a period when she was allegedly pregnant by a married man.
“When I was helping you during your pregnancy for your married boyfriend in November, I was the best sister in the world, right?” Lawson wrote.
She also made further claims about Diiadem’s past relationships, alleging that she had previously helped arrange visas for Diiadem and a man identified as Churchill for a private trip to Bali.
Lawson concluded her response by warning Diiadem to stop the public attacks, claiming that she had digital evidence, including text messages and screenshots, which she could release to support her allegations if the dispute continued.
The latest exchange marks a significant escalation in the fallout between the two former friends, who were previously known for their close relationship and public support for each other.
Neither side has provided independent evidence to substantiate the various personal allegations made during the ongoing dispute.
