The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
The
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Dr. Cyril
Yiltsen Tsenyil, on behalf of the Governing Board, Management and Staff of the
NCDC, congratulated Muslim faithful across the North Central region and the
country at large for witnessing this significant occasion.
Dr.
Tsenyil urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on and uphold the
teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.),
particularly his virtues of peace, compassion, tolerance, justice, unity and
love for humanity.
He noted
that these values remain essential to building a peaceful, united and
prosperous Nigeria, stressing that religious harmony and peaceful coexistence
are critical to creating the conducive environment required for sustainable
development to thrive.
The NCDC
Chief Executive reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to working with all
stakeholders, irrespective of religious, ethnic or political affiliations,
towards fulfilling its mandate of promoting sustainable development and
economic transformation across the North Central region.
He assured
the Muslim Ummah that the Commission remains focused on implementing strategic
interventions that will improve livelihoods, create opportunities and make life
more meaningful for the people of the North Central and Nigeria as a whole.
Dr.
Tsenyil wished the Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Maulud
celebration, and prayed for continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity in
Nigeria.
