Police Arrest Woman Over Murder Of 36-Year-Old Man In Uyo.

 

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a woman, identified as Lorretta Anoh, in connection with the alleged murder of a 36-year-old man, Chikoka Emeka Henry, at his residence in Osongama Estate, Uyo.According to the police, Anoh was the last person seen entering the deceased’s apartment on Tuesday before Henry was found dead.

The command said a search conducted after her arrest led to the recovery of ₦2,943,250 in cash, which the suspect allegedly admitted to have taken from the victim.

Police also alleged that Anoh had begun making arrangements to transfer ownership of Henry’s 4Matic Mercedes-Benz car to herself. The vehicle, a black Mercedes-Benz 4Matic with registration number EKY 694 GP, was reportedly removed from the car park at the deceased’s residence.

A preliminary police report indicated that Henry sustained a deep cut to his head.

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Amengheme Andrew, has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Ikot Akpan Abia, for a detailed investigation.

The commissioner assured the public that the matter would be thoroughly investigated while advising residents to be mindful of the people they associate with.
