The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has claimed that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos.Onadeko made the claim in an interview, while insisting that Osoba’s previous battle with breast cancer was not responsible for her death.
He also dismissed rumours that the 40-year-old actress was poisoned, maltreated or that funds donated towards her cancer treatment were diverted.
According to Onadeko, he received a midnight phone call from an unidentified person informing him that Osoba had died at a police station. He said, however, that he did not know the exact station where the alleged death occurred.
Osoba had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer and the treatment she underwent.
Addressing other claims surrounding her death, Onadeko denied that Osoba had been prevented from driving. He said she had driven herself to Iperu shortly before her death.
He also rejected allegations that the actress had been mistreated, including claims that she was punished by having faeces or urine poured on her.
Osoba’s death has prompted questions and speculation about the circumstances surrounding her final days, with Onadeko’s account offering his version of events.
