Tinubu Worst Nigeria's President, North Is Gone If He Wins In 2027 - Baba-Ahmed.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has launched a scathing criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, describing it as the worst in Nigeria’s history and warning that northern Nigeria could face severe consequences if the president secures a second term in 2027.

Speaking during a broadcast interview, Baba-Ahmed accused the federal government of being disconnected from the everyday realities facing Nigerians, particularly the challenges of hunger, insecurity and economic hardship.

“The North will be finished if Tinubu wins in 2027. He’s the worst President ever in the history of Nigeria. The problem is the disconnect between the government and the people,” he said.

Baba-Ahmed also criticised the president’s recent meeting with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to the PRP chairman, the bishops used the meeting to raise concerns about widespread hunger, economic hardship and worsening insecurity across the country.

He said the government’s response to the concerns raised by the religious leaders reflected what he described as an unwillingness to acknowledge the difficulties confronting Nigerians.

“Catholic bishops went to the President. These are highly respected people. He must have thought that it would be a good outing for him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t even have agreed to meet them,” Baba-Ahmed said.

“They went to him, politely said to him, Mr President, the people are not happy with you. They are hungry. They are insecure. There are a lot of problems running in the country.”

Baba-Ahmed claimed that Tinubu rejected the bishops’ assessment of the situation, saying the president disputed the concerns raised on each issue.

“For every issue the bishops raised, the President said, no, you are wrong. I am right. There is no hunger in this country, what you are saying is not true,” he said.

The PRP chairman questioned the government’s handling of reports of hardship, arguing that the administration should be more responsive to the experiences of ordinary Nigerians.

“Now, for goodness’ sake, a President in charge of his faculties, in charge of a country that should have prepared him, would not do this,” he said.

Baba-Ahmed’s comments come as political parties and opposition figures continue to scrutinise the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 general election. His warning about the potential impact of a second Tinubu term is likely to add to the growing political debate over the direction of Nigeria, particularly in the northern region.
