Media personality Toke Makinwa has introduced her daughter, Yakira Eliana, to the public for the first time as the little girl celebrated her first birthday.
The broadcaster shared a collection of photos on her Instagram page on Friday, giving followers their first look at her daughter while celebrating the special occasion.
In a short message accompanying the pictures, Makinwa described her daughter as the most important part of her life and said she was finally ready to share her with the world.
She also described Yakira as an answered prayer, her greatest blessing and the greatest expression of love in her life.
Looking back on her journey into motherhood, Makinwa said her experience strengthened her faith, adding that God had remained faithful throughout the past year.
The media personality celebrated her daughter with several affectionate nicknames while praying for her continued growth and happiness as she turned one.
Makinwa announced that she was expecting a baby in August 2025, calling the pregnancy the biggest project of her life.
She welcomed Yakira later that month.
At the time, her pregnancy drew widespread attention on social media, with many people speculating about her personal life and questioning the identity of the child's father because she was not publicly known to be in a relationship. Others also doubted whether the pregnancy was real.
Despite the rumours, Makinwa later confirmed the birth of her daughter, describing the baby as her miracle and an answered prayer.
One year later, she has now chosen to publicly reveal Yakira's face while celebrating her first birthday.
