British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, has died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure during a luxury trip to Thailand with his wife.
Igho, 43,
reportedly had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into
his penis at a clinic in Bangkok in March, according to an inquest at Inner
West London Coroners’ Court.
After the
procedure, he and his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, reportedly went for a
massage, where he complained of chest pain and collapsed twice.
He was
rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary
embolism, a blood clot blocking an artery in the lungs.
Medics
reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Igho died in the early
hours of March 6.
A
postmortem examination in the UK reportedly found cellular material in his
lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.
Coroner
Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Igho died from a pulmonary embolism caused
by the cosmetic procedure.
Igho, who
had about 185,000 Instagram followers, was known for his lavish lifestyle. He
was buried in London in a reported $745,000 gold coffin, with Nigerian stars
including Davido and Cubana Chief Priest among those who attended his funeral.
