RHYDEI Celebrates APC Endorsement, Commends Speaker Abbas For Support.

The Renewed Hope Youth Development and Empowerment Initiative (RHYDEI) has welcomed its reported endorsement by the All Progressives Congress (APC) as one of the top support groups backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC candidates nationwide.

The organisation described the development as a significant milestone for its members across Nigeria and in the Diaspora, saying the recognition comes with greater responsibility to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation, empowerment initiatives and engagement with Nigerians.

In a press statement issued on Monday, the National Coordinator and President of RHYDEI, *Hon. Amb. Prince Abayomi Johnson Odeniran*, congratulated members of the organisation and commended their dedication and sacrifices in advancing the group's objectives across the country.

Odeniran particularly recognised the efforts of coordinators across the 774 Local Government Areas, volunteers working at the grassroots and RHYDEI members in the Diaspora who, he said, had continued to promote the message of Renewed Hope beyond Nigeria.

He described the reported endorsement as a collective achievement rather than one belonging solely to the organisation's leadership.

“This victory is a direct result of your dedication, sacrifice and belief in the Renewed Hope Agenda. To every coordinator in the 774 LGAs, every volunteer on the ground and every RHYDEI member in the Diaspora keeping the message alive globally - this victory is yours,” he said.

*RHYDEI COMMENDS SPEAKER ABBAS*

The organisation expressed particular appreciation to the *Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, CFR*, for what it described as his fatherly support, encouragement and goodwill towards RHYDEI.

RHYDEI said it was especially grateful to the Speaker for graciously dedicating *Hon. Garba Chede* to relate with the organisation as part of the panel screening committee ahead of its forthcoming flagship event.

The organisation said the gesture demonstrated the importance attached to youth inclusion, participation and empowerment within Nigeria's democratic and governance processes.

RHYDEI also expressed appreciation to Hon. Garba Chede for his engagement with the organisation, as well as to other distinguished guests, political leaders, government officials, stakeholders, partners, community leaders and well-wishers who have supported its activities and contributed to its growth.

The organisation said the support received from these stakeholders had strengthened its resolve to ensure that the message of Renewed Hope reaches communities and ordinary Nigerians at the grassroots.

*NATIONAL EMPOWERMENT AND MOBILISATION SUMMIT*

As part of its next phase of activities, RHYDEI announced plans to hold its *National Empowerment and Mobilisation Summit* on *September 26, 2026*, at the *Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja*.

The summit is expected to attract political leaders, government representatives, stakeholders, youth leaders, RHYDEI members, beneficiaries and other distinguished guests.

According to the organization, the event will provide a platform for engagement on youth empowerment, political participation, grassroots mobilization, and development, while formally launching the next phase of its activities.

Odeniran urged RHYDEI members to remain united, disciplined, and focused, stressing that the reported recognition by the APC should increase their sense of responsibility.

He said the organization must move beyond election-time mobilization and strengthen its role as a bridge between government and the people.

“Our responsibility is not simply to mobilise people during elections. We must continue to build a meaningful bridge between government and the people by listening to communities, identifying their needs, and supporting initiatives that promote empowerment, inclusion and development,” he said.

RHYDEI said its approach would be guided by the principle of *“From Campaign to Governance: Taking Renewed Hope to the Last Man in the Village.”*

The organization said the journey ahead required collective commitment, adding that its members must remain focused on building a stronger grassroots network capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria's democratic and development process.
