Davido Replies Erigga Over Post About Musicians From Wealthy Families.

 

Nigerian music star Davido has responded sharply to rapper Erigga following a social media post celebrating musicians who came from humble backgrounds and had to work their way to success.

Erigga had written: “Shoutout to all the musicians who don't come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn.”

Davido, who has frequently been the subject of discussions over his privileged family background, appeared to take the post personally and hit back at the rapper.

“No be we say make your pops no guard o. Shoutout to the ones that came from family money and still grind to the top, imbecile,” Davido wrote.

He followed up with another post, saying: “Comot here with that your useless motivation.”

The singer also questioned the notion of glorifying poverty, asking: “Deep down who like poverty?”

Davido later appeared to dismiss the continued discussions surrounding his wealth and music career, suggesting that he was focused on making more money.

“No worry o I go soon leave their music for una. GO MAKE MY BILLIONS... then that shit gonna be boring,” he wrote.
