Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has inaugurated 27 Local Government Area and 305 Ward Prosperity Coordinators, charging them to take the message and achievements of his administration to the grassroots.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held on Wednesday, September 23,
2026 at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Council Chambers, Owerri, Uzodimma said the
coordinators were selected on merit and would serve as ambassadors of the
government’s prosperity agenda.
The Governor urged them to identify with the challenges confronting
their communities, stressing that the problems of the people should be regarded
as their own.
“The problems of your people are your problems. The problems of
government are also your problems,” he said.
Uzodimma further charged the coordinators to work as a family,
describing the All Progressives Congress (APC) as one family, and urging them
to promote the interests and programmes of the government without fear.
He warned them against any act that would lead to discrimination on the
vote for all candidates of the APC, saying that they should carry the message
of voting APC candidates for the President, Senate, House of Representatives,
and House of Assembly in the coming election by January, 2027.
He also assured the new coordinators that government would provide the
materials and support required for them to discharge their responsibilities
effectively.
The Governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to remain
committed to the prosperity agenda as they return to their respective
communities.
The newly inaugurated Prosperity Coordinators have pledged their
commitment to supporting Governor Uzodimma’s administration and ensuring its
policies and achievements reach the people.
Hon. Nnadozie Chukwuemeka, on behalf the Prosperity Coordinators,
expressed gratitude to the Governor for the appointments, describing them as a
call to service.
He assured that the coordinators would work diligently to advance the
government’s agenda.
