Former Big Brother Naija housemate Beauty Tukura has urged Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and prepare to vote in the 2027 general elections.
Beauty made the call in a post shared online while expressing concern about the country’s economic situation.
The reality TV star said she did not want to be forced to depend on selling akara for a living, while clarifying that her comment was not intended to disrespect people who earn a living from the business.
“I don't know about you but God knows I don't want to sell akara, and honestly this is no disrespect to akara sellers,” she wrote.
She subsequently urged Nigerians to obtain their PVCs, participate actively in the 2027 elections and protect their votes.
“Nigerians, get your PVC and get ready to vote and defend those votes come 2027!!!” Beauty added.
Her comments have since sparked reactions online, with discussions centred on economic hardship, political participation and the importance of voting ahead of the 2027 elections.
