Nollywood Actor, Moyo Lawal Reacts To Online Attack Over Past Controversy.

 Nollywood actor Moyo Lawal has responded after a man on X subjected her to a series of derogatory comments following her latest social media post.

The actor had shared new photographs of herself on X and asked her followers if they had missed her.

A man subsequently quote-tweeted the post and made several insulting remarks about the actress, referring to her in derogatory terms and claiming she had “passed her prime”.

In response, Lawal questioned whether her appearance was the reason behind the man's comments.

She also rejected the suggestion that she had built her acting career by sleeping with people in the industry, explaining that she began her career in television and secured subsequent roles through auditions.

“Your reasons for typing this nonsense is because I look amazing? Because I left a man whose feeble brain could not deal with losing me and he tried to destroy me in the process?” she wrote.

Lawal added that her early work came through professional opportunities, including a role involving a married couple, and said she had mainly worked with female producers.

“Me and sleeping around has absolutely nothing in common, sir,” she said, adding that being an unmarried woman did not mean she was sexually promiscuous.

The actor further criticised men who, according to her, use derogatory language against women while maintaining relationships with women they may privately consider promiscuous.

She wrote: “All these weak men throwing foolish words around, I am positive that in my entire lifetime, I have not had as many partners as their current partners, whatever age that person might be.”

Lawal concluded her response by dismissing the comments as baseless.

The actress has been less active on social media since a private sex tape involving her was leaked online, amid allegations that it was released by a disgruntled former partner.
