AEW announced Satterley’s death on Sunday, 27 September, saying the Newcastle upon Tyne native began his wrestling career in 2004 before going on to perform for wrestling organisations around the world.
“Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history,” the company said, extending its condolences to his family, friends and fans.
The circumstances and cause of his death were not disclosed.
Satterley competed at AEW’s All Out event in Illinois on Saturday, where he faced Andrade El Ídolo, less than 24 hours before his death was announced.
Before joining AEW, Satterley wrestled for WWE under the ring name Neville. He became known for his high-flying style and explosive performances, earning nicknames including “King of the Cruiserweights” and “The Man That Gravity Forgot”.
After joining AEW in 2019, Satterley became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion in 2022, before the title was renamed the AEW International Championship.
He also won the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta at Wembley Stadium in 2024, performing in front of a large crowd in his home country.
Satterley began his professional wrestling career in 2004 and went on to establish himself as a prominent performer in wrestling promotions across Britain, Japan, the United States and other countries.
AEW described him as a wrestler who captivated fans with his innovative high-flying moves and exceptional in-ring ability.
