In a video shared online, the protesters were seen carrying placards while one of them repeatedly chanted, “Say no to FBI office in Nigeria” through a microphone.
The protester questioned why the United States agency wanted to establish an office in Nigeria and accused the FBI of oppressing Nigerian youths.
“What have Nigerian youths done to you that you are oppressing them?” he asked.
He also questioned the alleged focus on Nigerian youths by US authorities while insecurity, including banditry, continues to affect communities across the country.
“If you can’t help us, go back to your country,” he added.
The protest has generated reactions online, with social media users sharing differing views over the proposed presence of the FBI in Nigeria.
